Staff Leadership

Kathleen Ruddy
Chief Executive Officer
With more than 26 years of professional non-profit experience, Kathleen began work in the childhood cancer community in early 2001 - the same day she began planning the growth of what would become the St. Baldrick's Foundation. The daughter of two cancer survivors, Kathleen believes in paying it forward, and enjoys managing the Foundation, in addition to being a two-time shavee, DWYW participant and active advocate for children with cancer. She is a frequent speaker at non-profit conferences and gives her time to advise start-up charities and young people pursuing careers in the non-profit sector.
Kathleen’s professional experience includes raising over US $300 million for religious and educational organizations, hospitals, disaster response and recovery and social service organizations, as well as childhood cancer research organizations. She has served on the Alumni Board of Directors for her alma mater, and continues to volunteer for several charities, church and political organizations. Kathleen received a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies/Public Relations and a Minor in Business Administration/Marketing from Loyola Marymount University in 1988.

Jennifer McCabe, CPA, CGMA
Chief Operating and Financial Officer
Jennifer McCabe came to St. Baldrick’s with nearly 25 years of financial expertise. She manages The Foundation’s financial operations and is committed to maximizing returns and balancing its growing portfolio of initiatives. Jennifer has a reputation for maintaining a high level of integrity and transparency, for which St. Baldrick’s is known.
Jennifer started her career in public accounting, then rose through the ranks from accountant to SVP-CFO at 300 North Capital, LLC (formerly Provident Investment Counsel). Her collaborative style of management has already served St. Baldrick’s well. Her professional commitment to helping The Foundation succeed stems from her personal connection with cancer in both her family and her husband’s family.

Becky Weaver
Chief Mission Officer
Of her 31 years in the nonprofit sector, Becky has devoted 12 to the cause of childhood cancer research. She remembers the day some guys from New York called to say they planned to raise $17,000 by shaving heads at their St. Patrick’s Day party… and the day they called back to say, “We raised $104,000 – and we’re doing this again next year!”
Fast forward a few years: Becky became the second employee of the St. Baldrick's Foundation, where she now leads teams dedicated to taking care of families and making grants to researchers. Her mom, two aunts and an uncle are cancer survivors, and cancer took her younger brother at age 40. Finding a cure is not an option – it’s an obsession.
